In 2011\, a replicated trial was planted in a sandy loam vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon to compare four trellis systems: 1. high cordon optimized for machine pruning\, 2. horizontally divided canopy (quad cordon\, spur pruned)\, 3. horizontally divided canopy (cane pruned)\, and 4. standard bilateral cordon (T-top trellis\, spur pruned).
