Speaker topics highlight the Lower Mokelumne River watershed and its importance to recharging the groundwater sub-basin. \nThe Lower Mokelumne Watershed Stewardship group is a sub-committee of the San Joaquin County Resource Conservation District; comprised of landowners and stakeholders\, who meet regularly to promote conservation in the watershed. \nLearn about the 2014 SGMA legislation mandating groundwater management; then learn about water rights in the Lower Mokelumne watershed. Conservation practices to improve water infiltration\, ground water quality and quantity\, new mapping tools and more\, will be presented.
