Take Gopher Flat Rd. to Shake Ridge \nCost:  FREE \nCredits:  2.5 hrs DPR – CE (OTHER) applied for \nWho Should Attend: Vineyard owners and managers\, consultants and PCA’s \nDescription: Biological control uses natural enemies\, either augmented (released) or conserved\, to help manage pests. Shake Ridge has been releasing 6-spotted thrips to manage spider mites for several years-we will see the natural enemies and the release and talk about biological control in the vineyard\, the pests targeted\, and how to make sure your releases work. We will discuss and look for spider mites as well as Virginia Creeper leafhopper. \n\n\n\nPermanent groundcover is perennial and includes cover under the vine. Shake Ridge has moved from an every-other row discing program to permanent cover.
