Apply for Certification
Interested in becoming a LODI RULES grower? Below you will find information for getting started down the certification road.
The steps outlined here are repeated for every certification year (see calendar HERE), which runs from post-harvest of the previous year through the harvest of the current year.

Step 1: Apply
First, contact Protected Harvest to request an e-application packet: 831.706.2097. Applications and fees are due in February of each year.
Current LODI RULES binders are available by contacting Dr. Stephanie Bolton at the Lodi Winegrape Commission at stephanie@lodiwine.com or 209.367.4727. The LODI RULES Standards are available to download as a PDF HERE.
Step 2: Online Self-Assessment
Second, complete the online LODI RULES self-assessment. The on-line self-assessment system, in conjunction with the LODI RULES For Sustainable Winegrowing Certification Standards binder, is used to document your farming practices. Online self-assessments must be completed by May 1st of each year.
Step 3: Audit
Third, the auditor will contact you to schedule an audit. Audits take place between May and August.
Step 4: PEAS
The final step in the certification process is the annual submission of PEAS reports per vineyard to the auditor. PEAS reports are due by October 31st of each year.
