First Paragraph: This field trial was established in 1991 to evaluate several varieties "new" to San Joaquin County and the Lodi area in particular. It is a non-replicated trial and as such does not provide a strictly scientific comparison of the included sections. However, with the very little information available on some of these varieties in California, it may give a starting point for alternative choices to diversify current production for future needs.
