Description: Dale Carnegie of San Joaquin Valley has been hired to provide a workshop for Lodi growers focused on sales techniques coupled with people skills from Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Win Friends and Influence People. The goal is to enhance the confidence and communications of growers to support future promotion of their vineyard and sales of their winegrapes. This workshop is part of the Lodi Winegrape Commission’s Modern Farmer Series.
What You’ll Learn
This program will show you how to talk in terms of buyers’ interests and stand out from the competition as the grower they will want to buy from again and again. We will talk about the skills and attitudes expected in today’s market to build professional relationships and what to focus on to drive real value.
Why You Will Want to Learn it
With easy access to information, buyers often know what they need before they ever contact a grower. They don’t want to be sold and they aren’t looking for a presentation of features and price. They want a confident professional who can provide value in terms of the demands they are given. They want someone that informs, delivers value, and instills confidence.
How it Will Help You
Practicing the right skills and using a proven process creates trust with buyers and can enhance your ability to develop professional relationships to leverage your yield in a commoditized market.
