Want to be part of something super cool, cute and helpful? Host a puppy in your home! If you live near Fresno, you can volunteer to be involved in puppy training and field trips.
The Fresno-based Canine Detection Services team working with the Lodi Winegrape Commission on a Department of Pesticide Regulation-funded vine mealybug and leafroll virus detection project is looking for volunteers to help socialize nine English Springer Spaniel puppies.

Volunteers can foster puppies in their homes for time periods of one to eight months. Training, veterinary services, supplies and equipment are provided. These high energy puppies need lots of love from foster parents and exposure to different people and places, which helps them prepare for their career. See the flyer below.
Canine Detection Services is part of the American Kennel Club Patriotic Puppy Program – a program providing opportunities for owners and breeders to work with experts on raising canine candidates for detection jobs in law enforcement, agriculture or search and rescue.
If you are interested in volunteering for this detector puppy program, please contact Canine Detection Services by filling out the contact form HERE or by calling 559.480.5713.
